Rewrite

Daunted by the process of writing a query letter, I have regressed into a massive rewrite of my story. This I am curbing even as I type into a slightly less massive rewrite of the first chapter only. I can't afford to spend the time to cut 35,000 words out of my story right now.

At least, I think I can't afford to spend the time doing it.

Maybe I can't afford to spend the time NOT doing it.

I will worry about that conundrum after I get query letters into the mail, though. Query letters which actually exist and are actually sent places... those are my main concern right now. I can sort out whether to wrangle with Book 3's plot or Book 2's word count after I get this taken care of.
